On aurait exumé le PREMIER CLIP des Smashing Pumpkins:
Une version légèrement différente du Rhinoceros présent sur leur 1er album Gish. L’auteur se confie:
“I made this video in college back in 1989. The Pumpkins didn’t have a record out yet. We filmed them in Chicago.”
“I made this video with a college friend for a class in film lighting. My friend went to High School with James. The band was about to release there first album.”
“We shot it in Oshkosh Wisconsin and Chicago. We got the blurred motion look by shooting 16mm at like 2 or 4 frames per second and the slowing down the playback.”
“My favorite shot is the one when I walked from across the street into the girls eyes. Almost got hit by a car, but it looks cool.”
“It’s really him singing and them in concert in Chicago, but we shot it on 16mm with no sound. We edited it later to a copy of the song the band gave us on cassette.”

A noter sur cette video que Corgan et Chamberlin sont accompagnés par deux papys. Ce sont deux membres des Seeds, avec lesquels ils ont collaboré pour enregistrer un album à venir. Superchrist est un morceau qui dépote sa race, mais qui, à l’instar des derniers morceaux sonne méchament "métal". Le probleme des Pumpkins version 3.0 (amputés de la bassiste D’arcy et du guitariste James Iha), c’est qu’on y a grave perdu en finesse. J’entends par-là qu’ils nous servent sur album, à une cadence assez intensive, ce que jadis ils nous reservaient sur scène en clôture de concert.
19 ans se sont écoulés, les Pumpkins passent à la POSTERITE.
Corgan et Chamberlin (meilleur batteur au monde) ont donc aposé leurs empreintes sur le béton du Hollywood’s Rockwalk aux côté d’autres mythes du Rock’n’Roll.

Un dernier regret de fan de la première heure: la dégradation du look de Corgan au fil du temps… après s’être pris pour Nosferatu, le voilà qu’il tente de faire de l’ombre à Tata Yoyo. Nobody’s pertfect… pffff
